Joshua

Josh is still doing great.  He can almost sit himself upright from laying flat.  He's done it once or twice but isn't consistent about it.  If there is something nearby he can grab, he can use it to sit up.  He isn't crawling yet, but is getting closer.  For a long time, if we put him on his stomach he'd just roll over onto his back.  Now he'll stay on his stomach longer and get his feet under him and push, but he isn't on his knees.  And he's not really on his arms either, it's more on his forehead.  So yeah, if making a V-shape on his tip-toes and forehead is closer to crawling, then he's making progress.  You gotta take what you can get.

I love how excited he gets when he sees his cousins.  It used to be just Brock, but now he gets really excited when he sees Sarah and Emily.  He's little arms start waving, he gets a big grin, and starts breathing heavily.

Fortunately for us, he still sleeps through the night most of the time.  We'll give him a bottle around 9:30 and he's usually in his own bed by 10:30.  Often he'll start fussing an hour later and need a diaper change.  After that, he sleeps through till 6 or 6:30, which is when we start getting up.

He likes Cheerios and is pretty good about getting them in his mouth.  We took him for some Zesto's ice cream on the last day they were open this season.  Joshua would take a little bite, frown very hard (probably from the cold), and get excited and be ready to do it all over again.  I think he likes eating real food, like the grown-ups eat.
