We found *chocolate marshmellows* at the store today! Not just cholocate coated, but they are chocolate through-and-through! Most tasty!

Okay, who did it?

Someone sent me a, um, "interesting" picture on my cell phone, but I didn't recognize the number. Who of you has a cell number that starts with 602?

Long time between posts

I think that's the longest I've gone without posting. December is just a crazy-busy month. Birthdays include my dad, my mom, my brother, Paula's brother, Paula's other brother's girlfriend, and Paula's dad. Then there's a god-daughter in New York, Charlie's birthday, and Mary's birthday. Throw in Mike's Christmas party, Christmas with my brother's family (they live in Indy and are coming up the weekend before), and a Christmas party for some couples from church. Oh, and four baby classes, and a few baby-doctor visits. And making sure we have everything Joshua will need.

All that puts a big dent in the wallet, too. Fortunately we started setting money aside earlier this year.

As far as work, we changed servers around. We used to have the SQL server on the same box as the web server, but finally decided to seperate them. That means we have to go through all our connection strings and add a server variable, hoping we don't miss any DSNs. That part went pretty smoothly because we did a lot of testing before hand. But I came into work Monday and found out they changed AS400 boxes, too, which changed the IP address. There's some old code I have to maintain that still used the old IP address. Had I known about it ahead of time I would have been prepared. Instead I had to trouble-shoot and fix things reactively. There are still a couple apps that aren't working correctly.

Anyway, just a few more days till vacation. Looking forward to spending time with friends and family.

Merry Christmas!

Art

My five-year-old nephew was telling me about his day at school. They have an art class and the teacher was showing them work from famous artists. They learned about Van Gogh and Monet. Just for fun I asked if he knew who Jackson Pollock was (the only reason I've heard of him is because of the movie a few years ago). He said, "Yeah I know him. He did 'action paiting'."

Geez, I can't believe a five-year-old knows who Jackson Pollock was.
