Weekend

Our five-year-old nephew spent the night with us on Friday. He loves to play video games, and lately likes playing a used NASCAR game I bought. His dad has been teahcing him drivers' names and numbers, and he's been paying attention to races on TV. So we're racing (by that I mean he's knocking cars into walls), and I hear he say, "Take that, Jeff Gordon!" Appently Mr. Gordon tried to pass Brock, and Brock didn't like that.

He's full of funny sayings. It makes you wonder what goes through their heads. My wife asked him how long will it take for his new little sister to turn two. Brock thought about it a bit and answered, "Five years!"

On Saturday, Paula and I went to an open house. But this is no ordinary house. It's almost $1.9 million dollars! Here's a quick run-down: five bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms, five-car garage, indoor inground swimming pool, 20-acre lot, 10,700+ square feet, bar, dance floor, library, and exercise room. The master suite has a bathroom for "her" and one for "him." Each bedroom has its own walk-in closet and bathroom. There are two dishwashers in the kitchen, and one behind the bar. Oh, and there's a pond in the front. Simply amazing...

On Sunday we went up to my parents lake cottage. It's still pretty cold, and they don't have the pier, docking station, or boat in yet. Paula and I each took a kayak out for a quick trip though. The wind made it difficult to steer straight, but it was still fun.

Can't wait till it gets warmer.
