Update
Over the weekend we had both sets of parents stop by with their electric chainsaws and help work on some small trees. There's one in the back yard that's way too close to our shed, and another in the front that's too close to the house. After reading Dave's issues of cutting down a tree, I just wanted to cut the limbs back a ways instead of removing all of it.
Last Monday we ordered a new couch for our living room. A sectional. They said it would be 2 to 3 weeks before we could pick it up, giving us plenty of time to find a new home for the two old couches we have now. They called us later that same week and said all but one piece is in and we can come pick it up.
With the help of my parents and their new mini-van with stow-and-go chairs, we got the five pieces back home and set up. It will be a little crowded until we get rid of the other two couches. Anyone need one?

it took 6 people with 2 chainsaws to cut down a few limbs???? You could have taken down a forest with those numbers. Taking down my tree this time went very smooth, it was just the other stuff surrounding it that was a pain in the ass.
I was reading about the new couch and the only thing I thought was "please GOD tell me he picked it up rather than having it delivered" (flashback to moving day, uhhhhhhhhhh) By the way check out MH's blog he is looking for a future couch.
Yeah, Marcus needs your old furniture, but you'll have to store it in your garage for a few weeks.
