I'm back!
Last Sunday I left for a conference in Los Angeles. The host company fed us well the whole time, starting with a reception dinner Sunday night, and big buffet breakfasts and lunches the next three days. Monday evening our rep took us out to a place called "Asia de Cuba" and ordered enough food to feed an army.
Tuesday night was their big gala event night. Last year in Las Vegas they took us to the Las Vegas Motor Sppedway and we each got to take a couple laps in a NASCAR car. This year they rented a yatch and we motored up and down the Marina del Ray. The yatch had three levels, and you could also go up on the roof where they had a few tables set up. On the first and third level they had gamlbing tables where you could gamle away your fake money they provided. The third level also had a dance floor. The second level was the dinning area, with a nice buffet set up, including a assortment of desserts. They also had celebrity impersonators on board, including Clark Gable, Mae West, Marylin Monroe, and Charlie Chaplin. A magician rounded off the entertainment for the evening.
The conference ended at noon on Wednesday. After that I met up with another guy who had rented a car, and we did our own little tour of the city. We went to a Farmer's Market and found a few souveniers to take home. Then we went to Mann's Chinese Theater and walked along Hollywood Blvd and looked at the stars' names on the sidewalk.
It wasn't as warm as I expected out there, but it was a lot better than what I returned to....

That sounds like a "productive" seminar. Eat, play, eat, play, eat, play. So, this was "work", right? I'm glad you made it!
